About Our Family
Twenty years ago, my sister, Martha, moved from Tidewater, VA to the other VA — Sisterville, WV. I still have not forgiven her, but we still remain sisters and longtime partners in the raising, breeding, showing, and training of wonderful, family oriented breeds.
Labradoodles and Goldendoodles are well on their way to becoming the ideal choice for so many families, and for so many reasons. We are excited to be among those that have recognized the extraordinary qualities and limitless potential that this new breed has to offer.
Therefore, we take our responsibility to heart. We recognize that there are many breeders involved in the development of this designed breed. There is immense potential, not only as service animals, but as the ideal family pet. While these dogs are sound, intelligent, and hypoallergenic, they also have a little something else: empathy. They sense, they feel, they care, and it’s nothing short of extraordinary.
We must, all of us, insist on the careful, thoughtful, and educated breeding that is necessary, and that will be necessary, to do this incredible breed the justice it deserves, and to move forward to improve the overall health and dispositions we already know and love.
